Butterfly Magnet

We turned a 1500-square-foot berm riddled with ground cover and weeds into a meadow paradise for pollinators. Neighbors and people walking by often stop to take pictures of the changing seasons.

A New Face

In a two-pronged challenge, we opened up the front of the house while also making it more private. A new path funnels delivery people to the front door instead of through the driveway. A deep perennial and evergreen bed serves as an elegant barrier between the home and the street while also delighting the neighbors.

Color Pop

We designed a big-color, four season garden for our client who lives on the town’s
main street. Because of her home’s location, she wanted high impact, year-round
interest. We used bright colors and mass plantings of few varieties to get blocks of
color each season.

Modern Woodland

We transformed a shady yard with wood chips for grass into a modern statement including a floating path, structural plants and a deer-resistant Piet Oudolf style matrix garden. We created a kids' play space - a gap in between two laurels is a gate to enter the backyard -and an entertaining oasis for adults.

 Native Beauty

We were commissioned by local government to design native plant installations at town properties as part of state-wide efforts. One installation had dual goals: Be 100% native and protect a veteran memorial from kids climbing on it which,
miraculously, was accomplished.

Elegant Entry

We overhauled an embattled front landscape and transformed it into a crisp, formal statement. White allium, hydrangeas and anemones appear in succession behind the yew hedge so something is always blooming.
